- Full service campground and canoe livery service along the scenic Upper Iowa River which features 100-200 ft. limestone bluffs. Located only a short distance from Cold Water Creek Trout Stream, anglers will catch trout and small mouth bass, while nature lovers can discover caves, hike or bike. - Bear Creek Cabins is a new addition to the Bear Creek area. Nestled in the hillside of beautiful Highlandville, you're bound to relax and have a good time. The first of the cabins is an 800 sq. ft. log cabin. It features a loft, Amish-made log bed, full kitchen, bath/shower, fireplace & a deck overlooking the trout stream below. The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably. The second cabin will be available for rental in the summer of 2005! This log cabin is a "studio" styled, one-room cabin. It is also fully furnished and has fireplace. this cabin has hillside view of the South Bear valley. The General Store & Campground have lots to offer for everyone! The campground features 10 campsites with electricity and approximately 10 primitive sites. They are located right along South Bear Creek, the #1 trout fishing stream in Iowa. Highland General Store is equipped with a post office, large variety of groceries, gifts, movies, and a full fishing/tackle area. The trout streams do not freeze over in the winter months and are stocked weekly April through October. The store, campground, and cabins are open year round. They also lower their cabin rates January through March!

- Located approximately 15 miles NE of Decorah, 15 miles NW of Waukon and 13 miles SE of Spring Grove, MN. Pine Creek Cabins and Campground is located one mile south of the intersection of A-26 (Big Canoe Rd.) and W-60 (Balsam Rd.) on Old Spruce Dr. A few short minutes from the Upper Iowa River and several trout streams. The nearest being Pine, Patterson, Waterloo, North and South Bear Creeks. There are many acres of public land for hunting in the area, about 1,000 acres, that joins the property. They have four modern cabins and a guesthouse that sleep 4-16. They are fully furnished, all but one have bathrooms with showers. The cabins have decks where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife and the spectacular scenery. The campground offers sites with water/electricity, tent sites, a dump station, restrooms with showers, laundry room and picnic shelter with electricity. They welcome hunters, fisherman, families and can accommodate family reunions.

- The Natural Gait is located between Marquette and Monona Iowa on a dead-end road. If you are looking for seclusion, you have come to the right place. They have 3 fully furnished log cabins that sit on the bluff overlooking the Yellow River. Each cabin will sleep 6-10 people. The Lofty Haven is a fully furnished apartment that sits on the third floor of our shower house. With bunkhouse bedrooms for the weary traveler and campsites for the outdoorsman, they have something for everyone. The modern shower house is complete with clean restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. The lodge is a great place for family reunions, company parties, corporate meetings and class reunions. Wood stoves, porches, fire rings, horse stalls are a few of our many amenities. We have many miles of trails for horseback riding and hiking, a pond for fishing, horse drawn wagon rides, swings and sandbox, volleyball and horseshoes, canoeing and tubing down the Yellow River and massages by appointment. Another aspect of The Natural Gait is the retreats and clinics with instructors from all over the United States.
