General Information:
Kindernature is a hands-on environmental learning program designed for pre-school aged children. Each session will engage your child in learning more about the natural world. Activities include games, crafts, and guided exploration hikes that build on your child’s developing curiosity, imagination, and inquisitiveness. Classes explore the natural areas surrounding Luther College including Anderson Prairie, Lindeman Pond, and Hickory Ridge Woods. The majority of classes will be held outside, so proper dress is essential. If inclement weather does arise, we will move inside to the basement of Baker Commons on the Luther Campus.
Our teaching staff:
Luther College student interns, work under the guidance of experienced environmental educators. Teachers and interns have multiple experiences working with young people and commitment to environmental education. Interns have an interest in pursuing environmental education in their future endeavors.
Cost: $65
Partial scholarships are available based on financial need. Please contact our office for more information.
Drop off and pick up:
We will meet at the Baker Commons Parking Lot, across from the Luther main campus, next to Anderson Prairie. During class, we will be exploring the natural areas of Anderson Prairie, Lindeman Pond, and Hickory Ridge Woods.
